Default Power vision questions

I have asked about some upgrades and I'm doing them. One was a power vision and I'm curious about somethings. Does anyone have pics of them on there bike. I just ordered the big sucker and I have exhaust already on it. Do I put that in the programmer or does it read the computer and know. Do I need to order anything else with it. They have opinions of black or chrome does the chrome look good and last.

You select the tune that most closely matched your equipment.

you big sucker is treated as screaming eagle stage 1 air cleaner.

if you don't already have

you can skip this step by using the screws that came with the PV... i did this because i replaced the mount and screws were in use on sportster mount

Normally the vendor will send the unit with a custom tune based on your mods. Where did you buy the PV. I changed my tune a few times by having Fuelmoto tweak my custom tune to resolve issues I was encountering.

Here is a pic of the chrome without the visor.

You'll need to use a map that's close to your configuration; if you bought you Power Vision from Fuel Moto a map exactly matching your current build state will already be in the Power Vision when you receive it ready to be flashed and then begin to auto tune to fine tune the map. If you bought elsewhere, you'll need to use a Dynojet map that's as close to your current setup as you can and from there begin the auto tune process to dial it in for your ride. You'll download the map from Dynojet and install it in the Power Vision in custom tunes so you can flash the new tune.

I don't keep my Power Vision on the bike all the time, only when I make changes and want to monitor engine temperatures or if I'm doing auto tuning runs but she's held up flawlessly so get whichever finish you like the best.

Grabbed this image last year on an auto tune run afternoon. I did a write up HERE on how to route the PV's diagnostic cable...

I would suggest buying the pv from fm since I'm told they are excellent with helping you find the right tune. Dyno jet has helped me as much as they can (bought my pv from HD dealer) but it seems like fm has far more tunes available. The only tunes that come with the pv for my fxdls are "improved stock", then there's another tune for a heavy breather air cleaner, and another for heavy breather ac, and bassani 2-1 exhaust. That's it. Even autotune isn't getting my bike as close as I think it should be. I still love the product but it's made out to be all you need and very easy. FYI this is my first time tuning so that's not helping either. Anyway here's a pick of it on my bike.

If as you said, you're buying from Fuel Moto they include the handlebar mount.

You'll tell Fuel Moto your current setup and they'll in all likelihood have an exact match for you and will have it already installed in the Power Vision...

And don't let this tuning thing worry you too much; until I bought this '13, I'd never even owned an EFI Harley; I'm a full on carb guy If I can do it, anyone can...
