So I have a 2016 Low Rider S and I'm not super happy with the GoPro Session 5 I've been using.
I'm looking at the INNOVV system that wires into the bike so you don't have to worry about battery life, has loop so no SD card worries, and is waterproof.
However, can I wire that in with CANBUS? It has gotta have a pretty low draw to it.
If I can, has anyone else mounted a camera on a Dyna somewhere that doesn't shake like a strippers *** at idle and gotten good field of view at the same time?

Thanks
canbus not relevant. Cam will be treated as accessory
I'm not familiar with the newer 5 series Gopros since all mine are Hero3's, but why can't you just do that with the Gopro? Mine have several different loop settings and I plug them into the bike and my boats every time I use them. On the bike I use a USB adapter that plugs into the battery tender wire.

This is true. However, when you open the side panel to put constant power to it it is no longer water proof. I 100% need waterproof at all times as I ride no matter what.
Good to no. I bought two Hero 5s back in December and am getting ready in about a month to use them.
Which one? The session? If so, be prepared to be disappointed with it. The battery life is barely 1.5 hours and less if you leave wifi on. The way it records also is different. A 32GB memory card in my hero 3 will record six hours. In the session? 1.6 hours. That's it.
as far as 12v power for accessory with can bus , From my understanding the nigest concern is if you cut a wire to splice into it even thought it has 12 power it also may contain a data wire or carry data stream and a splice will interrupt or modify the data signal . If you come of the battery or off one of the accessorie power points you should be fine

sounds like you have the video resolution settings too high probably 2.7 or 4k
I use my hero 3+ in 720 mode and its more than enough
