Thanks. That's the kind of info I need. Cheap yet functional. The Pit Posse (lower) design looked a little sketchy plus I don't like hammering on things if I have a choice.
Obviously I ~could~ just use a brass rod or drift punch and just walk the damn things out, but the neck is nice and tight now. I want to keep it that way.
I haven't poked around my new front end yet to see what, if anything, I'll need to get the top tree off. I know the tube clamps are torx. I've got that covered. The jam nut and adjuster are still hidden under the cap. I haven't yet looked at the tube caps either. I'm chomping at the bit to get the service manual. Hopefully today.
Nope. Everything from the tank forward is getting replaced, less the frame. Customized tank, full compliment of Motogadget electronics, hybrid DF/DWG dual disc front end, custom wheel, 7" headlight, bars, grips, hand controls, etc.
Just a thought but depending on how many you plan on doing in the future, not sure if you need those bearing tools. Autozone has free loaner stuff and with that and a piece of all thread should suffice.
