Looking at maybe some 2" riser extensions for my stock mini apes on my '16 Street Bob to move the bars up and back a bit.
Interested if anyone has experience with them and if they fit fine with stock cables and wiring? I saw DK Customs had 2" ones but only in black - anyone know of a good set in chrome?
theres 2 styles available, they either go on top of your risers, or under your risers. I built a spacer kit for my lrs to get me by til I get my apes on, but I'd suggest just buying new risers for the cleaner look.
Check LA Choppers. Or just replace your stock risers with 4 inch ones.
Ah, duh. Looks like 4" total would require some changing of cables, or they would be very tight. I think the stock ones are 2" - think 3" would even be worth the trouble?
Depending on the widths of your bars you may not have to change cables. I have 14.5 inches of rise in my bars but they're not very wide and didn't need to extend wires or change cables. Checkout my thread "The Dyna Handlebar encyclopedia" to see if there are some bars there you like and what people had to do.
Change your bars. Tall risers with mini apes looks dumb. Go with taller apes. But.....DK Customs are spot on in quality as I use them on my T-bars, which coincidentally some say look dumb.
The riser extension would be $30 way to see if raising the bars would achieve what you're after. Then maybe change bars later.

i put 16 inch apes (forget the exact width, but they are on the wider side) on my street bob and only had to do throttle and clutch cables. They were just a little too short. I used +4 cables and had some excess. I'm told you could clear 14s on factory risers and still utilize the factory cables.
