I just got an 08 street bob that vibrates way more than my old superglide. Will this help?
Vibration is at it's worst when shifting into 6th gear usually between 65-70.
Take it up 70-75, pull in the clutch, let the engine run down to idle, hold clutch and idle until the bike coasts down to about 60. Note any changes in vibration and check back.
Interesting! Our bikes are about the same age. I bet that's what my front mount looks like, too. No wonder it's vibrating so bad. Looks like your isolator was totally collapsed. This should be a marked improvement. Can't wait to hear your impressions after the test ride.
I had no idea it looked this bad until I replaced it with the predator. I can tell you this, my bike was shaking so bad my sissy bar and handlebars would be bouncing back and forth if I was not on the bike at idle. I will let you know how it handles after I take it for a test ride.
Test rode the wide glide after the new predator motor mount install and it handles 100% better. No more clunk sound every time I hit a bump. Took out some vibration and seems a lot more stable going into turns. Love it.

Believe me, I'm not taking away from the value of the Predator at all... I run one, and I'm very happy with it. I just want to point out that the above two vibration/clunk issues sound like they may have been the result of completely worn stock mounts, and may have been resolved by installing fresh OEM mounts as well... But there's no question that the Predator is worthwhile!
