If you want to get it clean, flush it quite a bit both directions using that mity-vac.
As for the rear feeling spongy... replace your brake line with a stainless braided line. The stock rubber allows the line itself to expand under pressure a bit making for a 'soft' feel'.. that's the main reason to adopt stainless braided... it makes for firmer braking
Is it PERFECTLY centered and parallel on the rotor? If not, that take-up could be the rotor flexing. Try loosening the mounting bolts so the rotor can float slightly (left to right, not too loose. just enough that you can bump it around with a rubber mallet), push&hold the pedal, then tighten the bolts while the pedal is depressed.

haha yes it is perfectly centered and ive done that. Its just remaining old fluid and the way the rear master cylinder/pedal is designed i believe.
Could be. I've had master cylinders on cars that just would NOT firm up. The seals and piston would flex or bypass slightly and that was just what you got. (this is with stainless hard lines, braided flex, stoptech monoblocs, etc...) Nothing practical to be done about it. You could always design and machine your own piston for high performance seals but I never felt ~that~ displeased. Maybe Wilwood makes a rear MC for us that's better?
