So, before I proceed with the rebuild kit, I thought I'd try to rule some other things out. I pulled the front caliper and sprayed/cleaned it up real good with brake cleaner. Pistons seem to be operating fine. I just put a
new cover on the m/c, but it started raining like hell so I haven't been able to get out and ride it. If none of this makes a difference, I'll install the kit next.

I installed the Hawg Halters wide glide conversion kit to my 2012 Street Bob. All seemed to go well. But, I did a stupid thing in the process. I left my 3 inch risers in the handlebars and simply lifted them up over the front of the gas tank (covered of course), leaving the m/c upside down (several days also!), waiting for parts to arrive. So when I put everything back together, I couldnt get the front brake to stiffen up at all, figured I got air into it. Bled the hell out of it, both manually and at the local shop with a power bleeder - nothing. I can hear a "squirt"? type of sound when I pull on the lever. So, I pulled the caliper, compressed the pistons and cleaned them off real good with brake cleaner, and caliper seems to be fine. I was seeing a bit of fluid (very minor seepage) coming from the m/c cover, so I just replaced it with another black cover but has a different seal than the stock one did. Will try to get out and ride it after work, if weather permits.
I referred to this thread awhile ago on the dyna forum: "Leaking front master cylinder fix"
Brakes only slow you down and as long as you apply pressure to them they restrict how fast you go. I say remove the brakes completely to lighten the bike and relieve the engine to go faster
Yea, that'll fix it right up! Not for this bike though. I ended up removing the front brake from my other bike (pic). If something's gonna be on the bike, it pisses me off when it doesn't work.l
