Default New beginning same old year

Just picked up this 2007 super glide. 5700 miles. My street bob has 57,000 miles.
2007 was a very good year. Bone stock cept the mufflers. I think this will be my hot rod-we'll see.

I really like those natural-color drivetrains.

Interesting tonneau on your truck. Never seen one like that. I like it.

Good find. I think the 07 with the 96 was a great year. Hopefully it did not the voluntary recall to remap the ECM.

Stock it came on strong with power right off idle. The recall spread the power band over higher rpm. It was not mandatory.

Blank canvas is right! I've got plans to change this one up a bit. FL front end and 16" softail slim wheels (I've had the wheels since last summer and all the front end bits including a 7" headlamp and black fork tins), balloon type tires. Slim front fender (got that in my pile as well), Maybe some internally wired 14" ape's, stainless cables, coke bottle grips. Might give this one a paint job similar to my truck with a little more pop similar to the harley olive gold and red accents, Chrome sleeved rear shocks off a fat bob(got those too) footboards or forwards-havent decided yet but boards sure are comfortable. Air box has got to go, my favorite is the S&S Super, chrome of course. The pipes sound pretty nasty so I'm going to leave those for a while. Motor work-not sure about that-this bike runs strong I don't think the ECM update has been done to this one. The bike seems to pull harder than my stock street bob of the same year. Bikes been non-op for 5 years, but of course I ran it up and down the block and did six or eight burnouts after I got it off the truck. My neighbors are hot rod folks so they enjoy that sort of thing.
This bike has been on Craigslist a while-and the previous owner did not post pictures-ad said text for pictures-so I reluctantly reached out yesterday-the blond drive train got my attention in a sea of blacked out dyna's, also the overall excellent, unmolested condition of the bike merited the 80 mile drive to have a look. We negotiated and $6600 was settled on. I know some of you guys in other states may think that to be a bit pricey but I live in California and most of the 07 and up dyna's on CL are in the $9-$11K range with at least 25-30k miles, or $7 to $8k for salvage.
For the immediate future I'm going to put on new tires (American elites), change ALL fluids, dump the charcoal canister, torque every nut bolt to spec (I have a service manual) clutch adjustment, set fall away and any other service I can think of, get the DMV and insurance sorted out and just ride the thing, give my old bike a little rest.
This one fits in the stable and my wife is still able to fit her ragtop in the garage. Life is good

Great bike. I had an identical 2008. You got a good deal imo, nice condition with low miles. Good luck with it.

That "Slim" Rear Hub is too wide for the Dyna (if you didn't know)

Re-lace to your existing Dyna Hub?
