I am wanting to hear some opinions on different slip on options for a 2014 Switchback and if there is any special brackets that have to be ordered for particular brands please.
There's a switchy at my work. The rider has had the stock can removed, hollowed out and re installed. Now, it makes lots of noise. Sounds lousy. Kinda "tinny."
Said they burned out the catcon and packing with a cutting torch...
I'll hear it again today at 5 pm...
I'm considering a Vance and Hines twin slash 2 into 1. I read they have good tone and sound at highway speeds but are nice and quiet at lower speeds so as not to disturb the neighbors in th AM. Anyone have experience with this slip on?
I'm running a Vance and Hines Pro Slip On with the stock header that has the cat removed. The set up sounds great. In terms of vibration, I used the "clevis pin fix" with excellent results. The bike also has a Screaming Eagle air intake and a Power Vision tune. After owning virtually every Harley made since the mid 80's I like my Switchback the best of all of them.
Since I just got a 2012 SB I've been reading a lot about the vibration issue. From what I read, it was fixed by the moco in the 2014 and newer production. Of course mine is stock and has the Vibration but that means for me the best fix is an exhaust upgrade.
