I have wanted to add a tach for some time now, it would be nice to see where I am sitting RPM wise with my speeds and shifting. What methods are there for adding a tach to a 2010 Street Bob (or like wise speedo only Dyna), I would like to see the different methods people have used.
I do this for a lot of stuff... Go to the HD site, shop for bike. Find the part - Each part has the instructions and needed items. Even if you dont buy an HD unit, the instructions are pretty much the same..
I bought a 2017 Heritage! Low and behold, if you scroll thru the alternate odometer displays you get odometer, trip odometer A, trip odometer B, fuel range, time, gear number and tachometer! It pays to read the owners manual!!

I'm quite sure blueangel73 has read the owner's manual and where he found that his '10 Dyna Street Bob has an odometer, 2 trip meters, and a clock...
many ways to skin the cat. Nothing like an actual stand halone tach. The easy way os the low rider style set up hwith both guages on the tank. Kinda silly though..
putting them on the bars in your riding line of sight makes more sense. No idea wtf is up with harley and trying to kill riders by making them look down. Form over function, lol

I have found that it also pays to know WTF you're talking about before you start rambling off stupid crap. As tincup pointed out and my owners manual does not mention, my gauge cluster does not have the gear or tach option, I would imagine that after putting damn near 60k miles on the bike, I would have noticed that it did if it was an option.
