The mild chopper you want is already in the line up. It`s called a Wide Glide.

The Wide Glide is the canvas, from there you can begin to change it to fit your vision of how it should look. Everything I do is under the idea of both rideability and that old 70's style. She's no where near done, but she's moving closer with each change; it's how an HD should look, IMO
Unknown how the Dyna styles will change if the rumors of the M8 engine and the modular/common frame in '18 are true. Rumor is the Wide Glide is gone as of this year and if it does return, how will it look? I doubt it goes more in the direction of the old school look; it may come back as a WGINO; a Wide Glide in name only
I've not seen another Wide Glide like mine out in the wild, and she does get many comments; make your ride your own, don't rely on others trends or some designed by focus groups and committees to set the style. Set it yourself; see the vision in your head and make it real...
The wide glide to me seems to be the most versatile Harley in which you can make it look so many different ways and styles. It is one of HD's best models every made as far as I am concerned. I also like to make my bike fit me and modify it the way I like it to look. I don't really care what the trend is. Chrome or blacked out, who cares its what you like and how you customize the way you like it. TC could not have said it better.
That began in 2010..............................JK
You'll have no disagreement from me on that topic I stared at my '13 sitting new on the dealer's floor for a year before I finally decided to make an offer on it; the EFI, the rear fender, that horrible swing out license plate that looks like a last minute after-thought, all were just 'wrong' to me.
Formulating a plan to solve that rear fender and license plate issue, we'll see what happens over the next few months
Who cares how the stock one looks. Its a harley. The whole point is to take it apart and put it back together YOUR way. Its a canvas, and there is nothing more boring than a stock motorcycle. Put your heart into your motorcycle and it will be a masterpiece.
