I'm sure you've touched on it before but I can't recall which thread. Do you have any experience with speed bleeders? I've tried them out and wasn't much of a fan. Struggled to get a constant flow more so than a conventional nipple - (Queue Multi's gutter response). Bleeding dual calipers is a pain and if something works I'm all ears. Thanks
Well since Multi wimped out on his response, let me just say Stahlbus bleeders are almost as much fun as cocaine and hookers . Stahlbus bleeders work like this...
The bleeder is two parts with a O-ring seal, sealing the upper and lower halves, it can't leak air like speed bleeders that use sealant on the threads and won't wear out the taper seat in the caliper. Well worth the money, I have spent many hours fighting with conventional speed bleeders and there is no comparison.

I guess riding in and of itself is a gamble, but why would you not go ahead and put your brakes in 'new' condition? I rebuilt mine and installed EBC pads... but I had ~60k miles on the horse.
There's a reason it's called 'preventive maintenance' and it's cheaper than only 'fixing it when it breaks'.
I'm leaning toward leaving them alone. I think the likelyhood that the seals or bores are FUBAR is too slim to warrant plunking down the coin "just in case". It's not like I won't have time to rebuild them if they do seep or won't bleed.
"Preventive maintenance" is flushing the brake fluid...not replacing seals. That's a "Repair"
Exactly right! In Army Aviation we do extensive "preventive maintenance" and seals only get replaced if it was leaking or we were required to remove it for another inspection. Inevitably the replacement seals often do not last as long as the factory seals, as the mating surfaces are subject to damage at every removal and reinstalation, depending on seal type.
