I updated my FP3 and re-flashed with 621 MAP with absolutely no issue. Shadow runs great. Simply deleted the previous map that used 617 did the auto-tune thing and am happy as a lark.

just my experience.... Wag-On
My experience was this: I had the 617 flash, and tuned using the FP3, all was good. I did the update on the FP3 and noticed it included the 621, so I thought great, I'll reflash. I did, and it was still on 617. I went to hd to get my 5k service and returned the bike to stock, had them flash up to 621. Still good at this point. Then, I hooked up the FP3 and tried to flash...bike won't start. I call V&H and they tell me I must have HD reflash the bike to 621, then hook up the FP3 and they walked me thru steps to upload my stock hd 621 calibration to their servers, the V&H tech then sent me an updated file. I loaded the updated file and now am on 621. I'm sure I did something wrong, but that's why I was warning people not to flash with the FP3 on 621 without speaking with V&H.

Thanks for the warning J0ney. Just got the bike out for this riding season (long winter). Opted to go with a PV-2 this year. All I can say is "WOW!". With the pre-loaded map that was included by FuelMoto the bike had zero decel popping. I'll still do the auto-tune over the weekend anyway just to get familiar with the PV-2.

Most importantly though - there was no problems after flashing over stock HD 621 like described above and didn't have to contact anyone for special procedure. Though I suspect the issue is that the FP3 is somehow still looking for ECU version 617 and goes into spasm mode with it finds version 621 instead. Seems the PV does not do that.

Wag-on....

Had my bike serviced and remapped as per Harley requirements by the dealer.
I was unable to remap my bike afterwards using the FP3 as it threw up about 20 fault codes and wouldn't start at all.
Spoke to Vance and Hines and followed the instructions with a new map set through. Now all working and starting great.
Had to delete all my previous maps but FP3 all ready to go again now.
I did the 1 k service they said they did and recall update had slip on Vance Hines and fp3
3 month later installed short shots and try to install new map
bike won’t start need help call Vance Hines or take to dealer thanks

Contact Vance and Hines and explain everything they will take you through the process of getting it sorted in no time.
Don’t think a dealer will be able to help you unless you remove the FP3 and take the bike to them.
No point in that though, when V&H will do the job.

I have a 14 RK which I am going to install a Stage4. Along with the SE cnc heads, 10.5 pistons, 259E pro cams, it came with a 58 mm throttle body and intake, comp releases, and high flow injectors. I currently run a thundermax with my stage 1, but this kit came with the 32109-08C SEPST. The throttle body that came with is for 07 earlier with cables, mine of course is TBW. So, I was thinking of using my stock 50 mm intake and TB and put in the high flow injectors. I have a V&H Power Duals with Jackpot 4" slash ups.

Question 1 is will the 50 mm int/tb work with the stage 4 ?
Question 2 should I stay with tmax or used the supplied SEPST?
Question 3 should I really swap the early TB to a later 58 mm to work with this entire setup?

How does this have anything remotely to do with this thread? - Probably want to post this in the Engine or Ignition Tech forum...

Resurrecting this thread from the dead after just seeing this

I have a 2017 LRS that had the 117ci screamin eagle kit installed when new. It has the orange se race tuner and has the 117ci calibration loaded. Bikes runs flawlessly but has a paused start that’s not as strong as it should be. Clearly the ACRs are not activated which the 621 tune calibration addressed.

I’m in Australia and will contact my local dealer next week but I’m not sure they’ll know much about this or help.

So my questions are:

1) Can I simply adjust some tune settings with my race tuner to replicate what the 621 tune changed? And if so, what changes?

2) If my dealer does help, there’s a good chance they will give me the 621 tune for 110ci which isn’t useful for my 117ci engine. Did they release a 621 tune for the 117ci kit (that isn’t detuned for epa)?

Thanks
