I want to delete my horn and turn signal switches off of my hand controls. I have been searching for slim hand controls IE clutch side I want only the headlight switch and throttle side I want only the on/off and start switch. Is this something that's made? I have been searching for days with no luck.
I guess I should have been more clear. I am looking for something that the OEM switches can go into so just a slim housing. I don't want crap on my bars.
Your looking for stock switch housings without the holes for the switches?
If so, I've never seen such a thing. Some careful work with JB Weld, filler pieces, bondo, and paint would take care of it. You ~might~ be able to TIG weld them closed, but I don't know what they're made of. Die cast zinc is my guess.
If you're looking for replacements of the housings, there are a few options.
GripAce is super clean.
Motogadget makes housings with micro switches.
There are various mini and micro switch options that could be mounted whereever you want (in the bars, on the console, on the frame, etc.)
Trade your new Slim for a 50's - 60's era bike...problem solved.
JK, other than McGrubering up your stock switches, the only thing I can muster would be to contact a custom bike shop (not OCC, but something similar) and have them craft/wire them up for your ride. Good luck!
I would love to have an older bike, I do love my newer one but I love classics. I just want a housing that will hold the OEM switches, but I have no horn and no turn signals so the useless switches are simply clutter and I'd like to clean it up a bit, if I can't find anything I guess I'll live with it.
Look for "Bobber" controls, this is just one link; http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chrome-Handl...-/141476292731
It can be easier to have no switching at the hand controls then just a few.
Punch "Bobber controls" into google.
If your going to do a custom application, don't worry about what they say it fit's,, your going "custom" right?
