Default Using Widowmaker or The Wall Seat question

Anyone with a 34 inseam or more have one of these seats and able to use mid controls? Sat on a bike at the dealer with a stock seat and mids and no way I would be able to utilize the clutch because my foot does not flex up enough to get on top of the shifter as I am too scrunched. Was hoping the BMC seats would put me back enough to be able to use mid controls as they just seem more practical for "spirited" riding than forwards.

Working with BMC to get a seat built now ^.^

***EDITED*** also considering lucky dave's seat as well since it has a similar design as the BMC's

I've got a 34" inseam as well. I have the Widowmaker seat and love it. I wanna say it put me up a little higher, but not really that much. It's really only a little more padding and lower back support than the stock badlander. I've had it a little over a year and it's broken in nicely and can't even tell the riding difference from when I first got it. I was lucky enough to go in for the "ride in service" only because I live a little less than 3 hours away and got to see every step of my seat being made. If you're working with them, they are great. There's other guys on here who've ordered custom seats from them and been extremely satisfied. I have heard that communication can be a little difficult, but they'll make as many changes as you want or need for free.

Good luck. Let us know how it turns out. Post pics when it's complete.

I usually wear some hefty boots so my only concern would be will they still slide under the clutch lever but ya know maybe I can find someone here with mids who will let me move the lever a smidge just to see

OK, I have a 36 inch inseam and found mid controls unridable. I now have forward controls with a 3" extension and a Mustang Solo seat.

I googled Widowmaker Seats and noticed that they are hideous. I would never put that on a DYNA.

Hope it works for you. good luck

Have forward controls now and had a mustang seat (one piece 2-up, came with the bike) and it hurt my back as I felt too far forward. Got MXT-Bars and a La Pera barebones and a Badlander seat, both felt better but still felt too close up for my long legs and arms. Figured the Widowmaker or Lucky Dave's will give me the back support and build I am looking for to be comfy.

I know what you mean about feeling to far forward. I went from the stock seat to the Mustang and it felt much better. pushed me back by an inch. I sure could use going back another inch though.

I have a 2016 FXDB with mids and I have 34" inseam. I had a Saddlemen step up TR for a day and sold it and ordered a BMC Wall. The Saddlemen seemed to move me too far forward and i felt cramped up. The BMC scooted me back a little and I feel right in the sweet spot with the mids. As soon as I can get some pics I'm gonna post up a review of the BMC. Nothing but praise for the company and the seat!

Does The Wall sit you lower into the bike? I'm a big guy (6'8 and 350lbs).. They said they could accompany my height by moving me back. I've got the tall boy seat from harley and it just sits me up way too high. Also how is the width of the wall in comparison to stock?

Thanks!

Thanks!

I think it probably sits comparable to the stock solo seat on the street bobs. But with it moving you back it makes you feel as if you are sitting more in. As for width, its about the same as stock in the rear, but tapers a little narrower in the front. Its actually a little shaped to be ergonomically comfortable, where as my Saddleman was just kind of flat. If you go to the Corbin site it has all the dimensions of the seats on there too. Im confident that BMC will hook you up and build you a seat that fits you. I didnt order anything special dimension wise, as I am 6'2.5" 200lbs, but the standard wall feels awesome.
