Went on trip to east Ill. Tuesday. 460 miles round trip, 10 hours in the saddle, mid 80's, partly cloudy, bee-u-t-ful. Bike ran great, cagers were considerate, people at the gas stops were friendly and helpful. A great day. Ran about 50 miles on 4 lane and the rest on country two lane roads. Enjoyed the route so much, am planning an over night trip with the wife. Her back won't let her ride more than a couple hundred miles a day. We stop regularly and check out the small towns' main street and square. I wanted to report on wooden seat beads. For me they worked great. Butt ache didn't happen until about the 400 mile mark and even then it was liveable. They may not look cool but they kept mine cool.
We are going to do the same thing tomorrow. Starting at baltimore going to glen burnie for the bike blessings. Then up to lancaster pennsylvanna then driving over to delaware. Then driving down the coast to ocean city. And back to baltimore sometime later that day. That should keep us on the road all day. Stoping here and there as we go.
I think pic's of small towns when out on day-rides are neat! (just my opin)
Maybe a relatively cheap digital just for the bike.....thats what I do, and leave it
on the bike.....You never know when that Kodak moment will show up !!!!!
Glad you had a good ride and hoping you have many more!
