Default 4,436 miles ....

and there wasn't enough time to see it all.

For those that may recall, wife and I took a trip out west during her spring break (HS teacher) and to celebrate our 20th year together. 10 day trip from Memphis, TN area out I-40 and Route 66 to Nellis AFB, NV, stayed with my youngest brother(AF Capt.). Saw Grand Canyon, north of Williams ,AZ, jumped on RT 66, went thru Seligman, had an awesome breakfast at Lilo's cafe. Continued thru Kingman, north across Hoover Dam (damn impressive bit of engineering from the 30's) and down into NoLV. Puttered around Vegas a couple days, saw an awesome Cirque show. Last day in Vegas, we went to Death Valley and spent the day. There's a rather sweet ,narrow paved twistie even in Death Valley, Artist's Circle.
Next Day we left Vegas, south thru Laughlin, jumped on 66 and up thru Oatman, rather nice, slow tho, twistie out of there , back to Kingman. Then we cut SE across AZ to Phoenix/Tempe, and on to Tombstone and Bisbee (nice town). Up to Las Cruces and El Paso, missed our turn off to Carlsbad. It was late, tired, etc. Next morn ,made it to Guadalupe Mtns/Carlsbad, on fumes literally.5.1 gals, WHEW. Trucked down thru Pecos, found a NAPA open, got some new plugs, mustve gotten some bad gas, on to Abilene that day. Last day, we rode from Abilene to home, we were whooped.

We had an absolute blast!

P.S. BadX's seat mod was a blessing. 659 mi on our highest mileage day. Get off the fence, if your considering it to be done.

Trimster, sounds like a great time! I've been to Tombstone and Bisbee several times on the bike and go back to Bisbee whenever I can. You came right through my town (Deming NM). Wish I had known you were coming through, we could have gotten together for coffe or lunch or something! Maybe next time, I always have a couple of cold beers around the house too!

He's a sponsor on the site. He will modify your seat to make it more comfy. Do a search on BadX and you'll see a bunch of happy campers.

Here's the link to his site....
