Looking for insight or advice on cable kits. I want to change to 12" rise from my 8 " rise bars, are there any cable kits preferred? for what reason pls. Are there any that I should stay away from? also , for what reason?
Have anyone used the cable extender kits? super cheap but i would assume to be soldering and heat shrinking the connections. how easy is it to screw this up?

As for the 'cables' ( brake/clutch ) I installed Barnett Platinums thousands of miles ago... sweet cables.
As to your 'wires' (handlebar controls), yes they can be easy to mess up. However if you are proficient with soldering...etc, and be completely **** about documenting the pin location and wire colors... there's no problem. I extended my own wires the same time I went to the mini-apes & new cables... that was probably around 5-6k miles.. I'm almost at 70k now... never a glitch.
If you're not proficient and detail oriented... let someone else do it
