Default Help with forward control purchase

Interested in purchasing a set of forward controls for my 2006 Dyna FXDI. I saw a used set being sold locally. Would anyone be able to verify from the ad picture if all the parts appear to be included to do the swap? The ad says they were removed from a 2000 Dyna.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My 09 is the same as your 06,, I used the kuryakyn set 9063, easy drop in with everything included.
I have no idea what the cables and and wires shown with the brake side are for, they surely where not needed on my 09,, it has a solid adjustable rod for brake pedal to master cylinder linkage

The set your looking at has the master cylinder mounted on the front control. The rear stock master cylinder would be eliminated and replaced by the one on the control.

Dont know about the relocating the.mc style, but just wanted to say you do.t have to cut or remove the.mid shifter shaft. They make a cap for the splined stub that pokes out of tbe primarmy and a bracket tbat bklts to the motor to hold the mid linkage ear in place. In case you ever want to go back.

Thanks for the info. Does anyone know if the cap and bracket that holds the mid linkage are available to purchase separately? I haven't seen it available, only in the forward control kits. thanks

yea you can get the cap and bracket seperate. I just bought both. Im installing floorboards on my 2016fxdb an want the option to go back to mids easy if i dont like the floorboards. The spine cap is a harley part they sell. The bracket to hold shifter rod isnt made by harley. But they can get it. Prolly could order each seperate an save a few bucks. Good luck. Let me know if you have any more questions. As this project of mine has me semi up to date with the whole forward control install process.

An for anyone thst cares there is several ways to convert from mids to forwards or boards. 1. You can take apart primary and remove shaft. 2. You can just remove primary outer cover and cut shaft with a saw and pull it through the hole an cap. 3. You can leave the shaft in it and cap the end of the spline off and use bracket to tie the mid shifter to the motor so it wont flop around. Eitherway you choose its alot better then paying a dealer 400 plus parts to do it.
