Default Vent ac to atmosphere, dyno tune, and apes coming soon

well everybody it's time to start a couple more mods. I ordered an oil catch can (it'll be here Wednesday) so I can finally run nothing but cool, fresh, clean air in my motor. I have a se heavy breather so this should be a relatively quick and easy install. I'll be mounting the can on the left side and hiding it behind a black Fxdb horn cover. The hoses will run over the throttlebody in over the injectors cause I want a nice clean install. I don't want any of this to be visible unless you really look close.

Also, as soon as I have the ac vented I will be sending my bike to wolverine HD for a dyno. I'm at 105 hp and 120 tq now so I'm hopin they can bump those numbers up a bit, minimize my decel popping, and get this ****er running a little cooler. I'm reluctant to go to a HD dealer due to how lean they run from the factory, but with my power vision, they swear they will tune it so it's not running lean/hot, and they say they don't have any restrictions on how they tune from the moco so my fingers are crossed. Nobody can seem to recommend a good tuner in my area so for 350, I'm going to give it a shot.

My my fiancé and I will be moving next Wednesday, and I'll have a nice new enormous pole barn to work in so I will also be ordering the brake line from magnum shielding so I can finally install my 16 inch el Diablo ape hangers that I recently had powder coated gloss black. I love those bars but the finish blows. 7 months with them and they were already discolored. So I'm very excited to finally be squeezing the trigger on these mods. Once I have the apes on, I may also be adding the Bluetooth speaker kit from HD but that depends on how they look on the bars. I'll do a write up of everything once the parts start to arrive.

Nice idea with the horn cover/catch can. Doesn't the backing plate need to be drilled to route the hoses to the breather bolts?

yes I'm going to drill and tap them closer to the center and use black 90 degree fittings in an effort to keep it as subtle as possible.

i know. I am reluctant, but again my fiancé works there so I trust them to tell me what they can and can't do so I'm just gonna try it and see how it goes. Fingers crossed. If i knew anyone who could refer me to a good tuner in my area I would have gone to that tuner. On the other hand I do know 3 people who have had their bikes dyno tuned at this dealer and they all were happy with the results so I'm hoping it will work out well.

Im curious how much of a difference the vent to atmosphere will make because I really want to have the bike tuned now, but I'm still waiting on the catch can so I don't think it's smart to have it dyno tuned before I vent the ac to atmosphere.
