Default 2013 wide glide for oil

I am changing the oil in my 2013 wide glide and was wondering if in oz how much each fork calls for. The service manual says 29.2 but doesn't say if that's each or both. Thanks for the help

The SM spec is per tube, with the 49mm forks you'll need to have 2 liters of fork fluid available. The 29.2 ounces called for is based on a 95mm fluid level; the fluid level is measured from the top edge of the tube with the tube held vertical, the spring, washer, and spacer removed, and the slider compressed.

With the tubes off the bike it's a great time to upgrade those OEM springs. Those springs are terribly undersprung for a bike like the Wide Glide; combined with the craptastic Scorcher tires the front as a wandering vague feeling, pushes in the corners, has headshake on decel, and there's excessive fork travel under braking.

Progressive standard or heavy springs and 15wt fork fluid will make a world of difference in the handling and stability. One of the first things I did was to go to Progressive heavy 11-1546 springs; night and day difference. You can find either Progressive heavy 11-1546 or standard 11-1525 springs on Amazon for well under $100; money very well spent

I only weigh 145 pounds and never ride 2 up, the heavy springs were the right choice. If you do change out your springs ignore the SM spec on fluid level and follow Progressive's recommendations on fluid weight, fluid level, and spacer length. With the heavy springs Progressive called for a 150mm fluid level and a 5.5" spacer. I also changed out the Scorchers for Pirelli Night Dragons very early on as well
