Any other opinions on whether a fuelpak would be worth it with my setup?
look for a powervision, let that failpak be your last option. But, as long as you are rocking those horrible pipes...dont expect miracles, they will undermine you at every step.
I'm not looking for miracles just somthing that can be felt while in the sattle. Basically what I am wondering is does that dealer download really hold the bike back all that much?
Sounds like I should of went with the fuelpak. If I do decide to get one I have read that now that I have the dealer download the ecm will need to be reset to stock for it to work. Any idea how that is done?
I would suggest you have the dealer set you back to base map. I have a friend whose street glide is not running right, because of a stg1 map and FP...
.. besides, you'll want to get that crappy HD stg1 map out of your bike anyway... personal experience... mine ran poorly and I didn't know how poorly till I remapped it with my TTS. More than a night/day difference.

a bit, and it will run hotter too because of the lean condition. No good for the longevity of the bike
You figure the fuelpak wouldn't do much for me then? I know those pipes arnt the best for performance. I got them more for look and sound but at the same time I want the engine to preform at its full potential. I don't mind spending the money on the fuelpak but only if it will give me some better power
How much increase do you expect from pipes and air cleaner?
You will get some but not much. The FP3 will be better then the dealer download.
A power vision from Fuel Moto pre mapped will be better then the FP3
Again you are limited by the pipes..they are crap I had them on a dyna and they suck...if you are looking for more power from just a stag 1 you need to get different pipes.
You will need to figure out if looks are more improtant then performance
For my LR I did SE Nightstick with 5 discs and the open end cap, and a K&N air filter. With just these mods, the bike ran crappy, wouldn't even idle without stalling. I then tuned the bike with a V&H FP3, and it made a big difference...the bike now runs great!
Just so you know V&H Fuel pac and the V&H FP3 are two different things.
I recently put the FP3 on my 16 Bob with a high flow a/c and slip-ons.
Can't say if it's way better (faster) than stock but I can say it runs like a champ and sounds oh so nice.
