Just picked up this beauty on Saturday. Love it. Found one issue though. The rear brake caliber. Can anyone confirm if there is suppose to be a sleeve between the bushing of the slider and where it goes into the caliber?
I can grab the caliber and move it up and down and all around, and can't use it as it shimmies and moves when brakes are applied.
Dealer is 6.5 hours away.
Previous owner had a few things done to it:
stage 1 package with race tuner (VH pipes, air filter, tune)
Willie g skull package
risers
little leather storage bag
windscreen
Second seat for two up (no passenger pegs)
sissy bar (no back rest)
Nice choice, I have an 08, I went out in the garage and checked the rear caliper om mine,I have a small amount of pivot also, my rear brake works as. good as a Harley should, I can lock it up,and I have plenty of feel and control, maybe someone else will chime in?
Yea it is normal to have some play as it is a floating type caliper (piston(s) on one side) as opposed to the fixed type (piston(s) on both sides) you have on the front. When I bought my old Fxdb I noticed this while cleaning it one day and ran up to the dealership to check stock units. Same thing.

Hard to tell from your pic, but there should be a metal bushing inside the rubber jacket that the lower mounting bolt goes into (I loosened mine up for the pic below). The upper bolt has big "shoulders" and doesn't need a bushing. When bolts are snug, there's just a tiny bit of jiggle in the caliper, but nothing like "up and down and all around." Hope that helps. BTW, great bike you have there!

figured it out. The slider was missing the sleeve. Must of been like that for awhile, the slider is corroded and not much left of the bushing. Harley sending me both sliders and parts I need. Plus new pads for the caliber. lol.
