Default V&H Big Shots Staggared noise.

The heat shields are banging against the front pipe starting just before they turn horizontal. In this area, there are not clamps to support the shields.
Any suggestions.
thanks

Hmmm odd.

your pipes all aligned? Header bolts tight? Mid bracket tight? Is it new?

the only time I've had chatter is when my header bolts were loose.

I had this same issue a few weeks ago. An allen wrench to the cap at the end fixed it right up.

Yep, just fixed mine this past week. V&H must have had a quality control issue with this, the welds on my front tube all rusted to ****. Found a neat way to replace them; cut a steel tube that matches the curve of the heat shield and tac weld them back into place into a shape that matches the bracket.

Down side is that it distorts the outside of the heat shield slightly, so it won't be perfectly chrome.

Loosen the clamps, adjust the heat shield and retighten the clamps.
