Default The End....

Will our Dyna's increase in value now that the line up has been eliminated?
I believe there are plenty of hard core riders still looking to get on a dyna. How will this go...

Probably taking a year or 2 off and will come back revamped.

While only time will tell how the market will value the Dyna, I know my Wide Glide has significantly increased in value to me. The more I've looked at the new direction HD has taken, the more I appreciate what I've got. The '18's hold no interest for me at all and are completely disappointing. I own the newest HD I'll ever have...

Maybe so but it still won't be the same to me as part of the WG look was the chrome shocks in the back. A softail WG has no appeal to me.

In today's market, no Dyna will ever be worth more than you paid new.

The end of the classic Dyna look. Not impressed with the 2018's. I will never buy new.

Dang, glad I got my 16' Fat Bob, crazy they're stopping though. I need to go look at the lineup.

Huge mistake by the MoCo.... I have always been a touring platform guy but I really liked the Dyna lineup. Soft tails never did anything for me and the new line up is well..... ugly.

Default Poor HD can't win

They continue to sell the same old thing in different colors and the old guard is tickled pink as they continue to die off and HD sales tank. HD actually hires engineers who make bikes that work and it still looks 95% like the same old thing and the old guard acts as if they've just been told they got terminal cancer.
Newsflash, the only thing that ever made HD different from one another was wheel size and fender shapes. If you don't like theirs, why not just bolt on what you like?
I did find the presentation kinda funny. Although Softails never had enough clearance to ride hard, I thought the handling felt much better than Dynas. Turns out the old Softy frame was something like 30% stiffer and the new one is another 30% stiffer (hope I'm getting the numbers right) than the old Softy AND it's now got cornering clearance AND makes a lot of power without requiring a hearing aid after a few years.
Now if young people who appreciate function can just find jobs that pay enough to afford them...

I'm actually kind of relieved the 2018 are ugly metric looking bikes. I was afraid I'd end up wanting a new one (even though I love my lrs) and have to start all the mods all over again. Everyone seems to share my disappointment/disgust with the 2018s so I'm curious to see what happens to their sales. I know I'll never buy a new model.
