Using the OEM seals from HD. Even bought the Motion pro fork seal driver after making my own the first time around
Did you clean the fork tube competely and put some saran wrap over the end of the fork tube when you slid the new seal on? Some times the seal gets boogered going over the end of the fork tube. Saran wrap and a little oil keep that from happening.
I know it's an old thread, but was not able to find similar thread regarding New seal leak, how were you able to fix it? what was the reason of new seal leak in your case? i have put new seals and they leak right after the assembly, everything was done according to spec.

There are a ton of reasons a fork seal can leak. Some of the more common are you could have nicked it a bit installing it. Its easy to do. There could be some debris between the seal and the fork tube. The tube could have a small bur or uneven surface preventing the seal from sealing completely.
Tubes are new, aftermarket, seals are aslo james, but many people happy with them, had high rate. both leak evenly. this guy ^ had every part original from what he was saying and it still leaked
i don't think so, I remember I put them print side up, the only thing I suspect is spacers that came with tubs are probably twice thick than original are, I cut them to match the original length, and since they thicker they probably take more space inside and therefore less air in tube, the other thing I remember manual says 29.6 oz, and or 112 from top, and it took around 30-31 to reach 112 mm. And yes I pumped slowly 12 times and compressed them completely when was taking measurements.
A wierd thing is going on, when I lift dust seals and and shake the forks it every thing is dry a tubes and seals, I wiped dust seals from inside and out put them back on and it leaves a small wet ring again I checked it like 10 times and the same without dust seals everything is dry, even removed spring from dust seals (dust seals james brand with the spring) same thing, may be try oem dust seals with no springs? Any ideas what f. Is going on?
