Any thoughts on the conversion to a chain drive? Benefits?

i'm probably going chain drive when it is belt time. That belt change routine is ridiculous.

You get to support your local auto store when you buy simple green to clean the chain lube off your ride...

I'm of the same mind.. unless you just dropped in a 120cube or up engine, I see absolutely no value in it... except to say "I did it"... which as we know, is valid reason

If it was a daily or high mileage rider, I'd keep the belt. For a toy like mine, I prefer the chain. Easy to modify for appearance and final drive ratios and it just looks the part.

Chains are heavier, messier, require more preventive maintenance and cleaning.

They're also tough and transmit torque more efficiently.
