Im thinking just that, to go somewhere else. Whats a resonable interest rate? I did put 500 down to hold a bike. Will i get my 500 back or will i have to pay some kind of courtesy tax for having them hold the bike?

Not sure on that. You needed to ask before you gave them a deposit. I wouldn't pay more than 4% interest if it were me. A credit union will do that in most cases easily.
Ishould of asked. Ive been looking around for a new street bob and they dissapearing it seems. I just wanted to secure one. But after that quote im wanting to back out. Im going to call a credit union and see what i can do for a better loan.
sit down with the general manager and explain all of this to them... you are a returning customer and will likely be back again in another 4 years.
interest rates are low right now... even if you were to get a line of credit at the bank for the remaining 5K you should get a rate of close to 5-8%.

Do you know your credit score? If you just bought a house it should be in the 700s. At that number, you can get a loan elsewhere. If you do end up having to buy at that crooked dealer because you can't find another SB (highly unlikely...), there is no way they would get even one dollar of my money in the future...
One last thing...You need to go over the numbers they are quoting you with a fine tooth comb. If you aren't good at that, have a buddy look at them. If they quoted you a 200.00 payment on a 5K loan for 72 months, they are hiding 5K somewhere...The OTD price would be closer to 22K...Something ain't right...If you take a picture of the deal sheet and post it here, one of us will be glad to look at it for you...

15% is ridiculous especially with such a large down payment. Either you have horrible credit, you're working with a loan shark, or there is some miscommunication somewhere. You will end up paying more per month for a longer term then I am and I only put 2000 down. The payment estimator on the Harley site starts you at 5.99. That is often high for most borrowers. If they stick with those terms and your credit is good then go get a loan somewhere else.
I spoke w a credit union rep. I am going to go in today and see what i can get. Im not to sure what my credit is right now. I believe its around 700s. Have not checked it since the house purchase. Im not to good with numbers i must admit but this deal didnt seem right to me at all. I even told a few people and they were shocked my interest was so high. I appreciate the help! I did find a sb in las vegas. Im in cali. Its 2 tone too, very nice. But i dont know what the complications are with the california emission laws w getting registered in my state. I did a lil bit of research and it seems like a hastle!so i will see what the credit union says today!
