What is more important to you? Saving some money or having the bike that makes you happy right now.
I bought a 2011 WG with 5600 miles on it for about $7500. I spent 1 1/2 years looking for a good deal. I wanted to get exactly what I wanted at a good price.
If you wake up in the mornings thinking about the dealers WG, than maybe that's the right deal for you.
It also depends on condition of the bike, my 2012 black with flames if I stare at it to long it scratches (all that clear coat) I am a fanatic about keeping it clean and waxed, it can be a lot of work to stay on top of it. So if u get a used one that was neglected I would think it would sway the price tag. Then there is the mileage thing. All used bikes are not created equal!
Lifetime power train warranty? Most of those require 100% of the service to be performed by the dealer so they're the ones winning there. Definitely read the fine print before you think of that as a bonus.
Good call, I checked out the contract for it and it states that all regular maintenance has to be serviced by the dealer.
Seeing as how its not a local dealer, that definitely does not work for me. Not including the fact that i do my own wrenching. So that's no added value to me.
There are some real good wisdoms here, i'll be checking into all of it. Thanks for the guidance toward the WG.
Who knows, we may see a new bike post by the end of the year.
