Nice, back to the good old days of actual helpful information.
Been interested in the predator, sputh and TT, also been considering the fork brace. Might have to take the plunge this winter.

Seriously! I should mail those two some 30 racks for the great advice. Haha. You gotta watch the video on Predators website! It’s insane!

And wait until you see it and then feel it out in the real The bike takes on a connected sensation and the handling and stability are transformed. There is a change in vibrations at lower RPM's but it's nothing at all objectionable.

At the exchange rate on the day I ordered from the U.K. it ended up $233.33 shipped. Had it 3 days later
There is an install video out there on the Predator but that video makes it look harder than it actually is; changing out the OEM isolator for the Predator is not difficult to do and it is absolutely worth the price of admission...
Thanks TinCup! Feeling more planted in hard cornering is enough for me to buy it. I ride hard and fast so I’m sure this will make a big difference. Any recommendations for companies?
look into motor mounts if you want extra stability as well as cartridges
It's actually pretty impressive how well the Dyna platform handles once you finish the fine tuning that probably should've been OEM... There are lot's of things about "Harley Performance" that require a "for a Harley..." disclaimer at the end, but honestly, a well setup Dyna handles fast sweepers and not-too-tight mid-speed corners very well "for a 650 lb bike that doesn't have sportbike geometry." It's not just good "for a Harley."
Once you properly locate the three mounting points, do a little bit of suspension fiddling, and put stickier tires on with a rounder profile, it really becomes pretty competent. Assuming a particular Dyna has adequate cornering clearance, I liken the handling to that of a Camaro (current mind-blowing ZL1 and 1LE excluded). It will never be a nimble sports car, but it has a surprising amount of lateral grip and can carry significant speed around certain corners. But it will never truly excel at rapid back and forth transitions.
But what a fun bike to attack a twisty 45 mph road with (coming from someone who does ride actually "quick" bikes sometimes)!
Solid advise, Boosted. The OEM isolators are not exactly tier 1 I went with the Predator front mount due to my low mount oil cooler and it's been a very positive change in handling and stability; the bike took on a solid, positive, planted feel in both straight line and cornering. A properly engineered engine mount is a night and day difference
Both the Predator front, Sputhe front/rear, and the TT front/rear are a worthwhile upgrade in the quest for true handling and stability on a Dyna. I'm planning on the Sputh rear to finish the job on my Wide Glide
Note: if you do order a Predator buy from the U.K. site. Due to the exchange rate it ends up less expensive and you'll receive it in 3 - 4 days via FedEx international priority...
Thanks! The turnbuckle w/heim joints is a solid top stabilizer to replace the OEM stabilizer with rubber bushings. It removes the slop and horizontal motion of the top of the engine which was most noticeable during cornering. The Dyna powertrain/driveline/rear fork/rear wheel ride on 3 points; the front isolator, the rear isolator, and the top stabilizer and as with the Predator/Sputhe/TT mounts, the solid top stabilizer is another piece of the puzzle to improved handling and stability.
It solidly mounts the top to the frame; it does increase vibrations at lower RPM's slightly but not in any sort of unpleasant way.
I found on my '13 to properly install the top stabilizer and achieve a 0.00 vertical alignment I needed to cut the ends of the turnbuckle and the heim joint studs slightly; on F86's '00 no cutting was needed. I agree with F86 that most likely had to do with the variances in individual bike alignment.
I shameless pilfered this image from F86, he had his tank off when he installed the top stabilizer; with my tank lift I was able to install the stabilizer without removing the tank so my images of the stabilizer don't show much
I picked up an annoying squweek after I installed that solid top mount on my WG. If I pull up a bit on the air cleaner housing squweek goes away. Another mystery to be solved.
+1 on the Predator mount. I ordered one on Friday, it arrived in California on Monday.....before Lunch! I can't get something sent from Los Angeles that quick.
