Yea, I do push this bike a bit; I've got quite a bit of sport bike and track riding in my past and I want to get everything out of it I can. That fork brace is worth the price of admission.

I used the Custom Cycle Engineering #TB 2649-1 Wide Glide fork brace. CCE says it only fits through '08 Wide Glides with 49mm fork tubes. I sussed out the part number changes and ordered it, and then Multihdrdr confirmed what I thought; the change was to the lower casting at the caliper mounting; it would fit my '13 If you've got a '10+ Wide Glide, it fits

I know most use the Super Brace, but I really liked the look of the CCE brace. This style of brace is also available as a #TB 2649-1 DG for the rest of the Dyna line. It's a few bux more than the Super Brace but it looks SO much better

Install of either the Super Brace or the CCE brace is not that difficult. I'd get the bike off the ground, if you can, I believe you can do a better and more accurate install that way. You need to loosen the fender mounting bolts <they're not metric, BTW. 1/4" allen and 1/2" nuts > and the front axle. The idea is you're going to take the tolerance slack out of the front forks. You want a slop fit on all the fender bolts and the axle and then mount the brace. Be certain the brace is exactly at the same level position on the sliders. Torque down the brace; then the axle, and then the fender bolts.

I have zero regrets on that fork brace. I did get it from Powersports Superstore through Amazon for a better price than suggested Which ever way you go, you won't regret it...

The day it arrived; that solid top stabilizer is an entire new thread

True Track? What’s that?

I had a 93 FXR, I put a Superbrace on it. Huge improvement.

I have an 11 FXDC, I put a Superbrace on it. Huge improvement.

Superbrace is just 2 pieces. Compare to up to five pieces screwed together from competing braces including the Harley offering.

Takes less than five minutes to successfully install it.

I need to put a brace on the front. Handling isn't as tight with the longer tubes. Although that could be something different causing issues but what the hell. Fork braces just look cool when running fenderless.

I had one on my LRS. It works great. Really seemed to tighten everything up. Only reason I’m not using it anymore is I’m switching to an inverted front suspension. Mine is for sale. Starting price is $2k. Oh yeah, that comes with a complete LRS front end, front brakes and OE brake lines

Mine is made by Bare Knuckle Choppers

Ties that jiggly motor and trans solid to the frame. Thats where the money should be spent before a forkbrace if the quest is truely handling. And not a bling thing. True Track goes unnoticed to the eyes. Just do a quick search. Bazillion of stuff about TT.

Solid advise, Boosted. The OEM isolators are not exactly tier 1 I went with the Predator front mount due to my low mount oil cooler and it's been a very positive change in handling and stability; the bike took on a solid, positive, planted feel in both straight line and cornering. A properly engineered engine mount is a night and day difference

Both the Predator front, Sputhe front/rear, and the TT front/rear are a worthwhile upgrade in the quest for true handling and stability on a Dyna. I'm planning on the Sputh rear to finish the job on my Wide Glide

Note: if you do order a Predator buy from the U.K. site. Due to the exchange rate it ends up less expensive and you'll receive it in 3 - 4 days via FedEx international priority...

Thanks! The turnbuckle w/heim joints is a solid top stabilizer to replace the OEM stabilizer with rubber bushings. It removes the slop and horizontal motion of the top of the engine which was most noticeable during cornering. The Dyna powertrain/driveline/rear fork/rear wheel ride on 3 points; the front isolator, the rear isolator, and the top stabilizer and as with the Predator/Sputhe/TT mounts, the solid top stabilizer is another piece of the puzzle to improved handling and stability.

It solidly mounts the top to the frame; it does increase vibrations at lower RPM's slightly but not in any sort of unpleasant way.

F86 sourced this stabilizer out, he did a thread on it and the rear Sputhe install here: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...top-mount.html

I found on my '13 to properly install the top stabilizer and achieve a 0.00 vertical alignment I needed to cut the ends of the turnbuckle and the heim joint studs slightly; on F86's '00 no cutting was needed. I agree with F86 that most likely had to do with the variances in individual bike alignment.

I shameless pilfered this image from F86, he had his tank off when he installed the top stabilizer; with my tank lift I was able to install the stabilizer without removing the tank so my images of the stabilizer don't show much

I did a ton of reading last night on those parts that Highwaymans and TinCup suggested and that’s definitely the route I’m going. Thanks for steering me in the right direction boys!

I just watched he video on Predators website of a bike running with the mount installed. Wow! Huge difference in engine movement!
