Had a 72 superglide that I rode the **** out of. Fun scoot, but needed lots of maintenance. if you like to tinker it's a good bike, but if you just wanna ride go for a newer one.

I also had a '72 Glide, bought it new, and probably rode it for three or four years..

Back in those days I was riding with some guys in Pennsylvania/Delaware, and a number of them had early '70's SuperGlides.. One of the guys had a shop, and we always had a number of them in there being worked on.. I don't recall any major engine problems, but you still had to tinker with them all the time; clutch plates, chains, brakes, etc....

They were kind of rude and crude compared to today's standards, but a lot of fun.. I wouldn't mind having another one, but like others have said, you will spend quite a bit of time if you want to keep one on the road..
