I have a 2015 Fat bob (2000 km)and are having high vibrations when let off the throtle to change gear and to re start again throotle...also have vibs around 2200 rpm on 6th gear. HD dealer said this is because the rubber motor supports and the motor is unbalanced...Any one with ideas or similar situation? I appreciate your inputs
First... don’t use 6th gear unless you’re going 70 mph or better. My bike vibrates pretty good between 2200-2400 rpm. Can feel it in the foot pegs. Honestly, I’m almost never in that range anyway because at cruise, I keep rpms between 2600-2900rpm.
Rubber mounted bikes are supposed to vibrate at idle then smooth out as rpm rises. Are you shifting at to low of an rpm? I try to cruise in the 3k area. 2200 in six gear the bikes response is telling u throttle up or downshift.

And if the lugging isnt the problem, maybe it is an alignment problem. Always best to start with the easy!

Yea, that's way too low in RPM's for 6th gear
I always hear riders around town short-shifting, the 103" is much more efficient at higher RPM's. My upshifts will vary from 3500 - 4800 RPM depending on the situation. I cruise with my RPM's in the power band, which is basically 2600 RPM and higher and rev-match downshift to always be in the correct gear to stay in the power band. If I'm cruising at 50 MPH I'll be in 3rd gear; 4th is too low and you're out of the power band, I don't use 6th until 75+ MPH. At 70 MPH in 6th you're right at the bottom of the power band.
One thing, those numbers are all predicated on the fact the bike is fully warmed up. Running a bike hard when they're cold is one of the worst things you can do to them, those shift points are much lower until she's fully warmed up
Also, inspect your front isolator. If the rubber of the isolator is contacting the engine bracket it will create vibrations and decel shuddering. There should be a gap between the rubber of the isolator and the engine bracket; if not, this can also be a part of the vibrations you're experiencing...
Thank you guys for your recommendation...I will try to rev up the motor and see how smoother it could be. Good hight ligths..Anyway, I left it at the deales for them check the front mount support. Waiting to pick it up next Tuesday
Dealer found some bolts torque at the front and rear mount support lower than it should be and told me this new re torque should help bringing the vibs down. Im waiting this weekend to test it on the road to see. Initially on street, it feels a bit better...for sure, I will keep the revs up as some you guys recommended.
My 15 Fat Bob was the most vibrating Dyna that I ever had. There is a service bulletin that has a number of things to check that may resolve the issues.
I found that the engine stabilizer was pushing the engine to the right about 3/8 th of an inch. Setting it at neutral cut the vibrations some.
It was so bad that my right foot would go off of the peg within a mile. The mirror would show everything in a wide blur.
Gave up and traded for an 18 Fat Bob S which is as smooth as silk.
After the dealer re-torque the mounting bolts, it improved a bit..not that much. I also rev up the unit according to recommendations from you guys and it also help a lot. Still have the high vib betwen 1900 and 2200no matter which gear I in...so, talking to the dealer, they recommended to instal the predator mount to replace the original one. Had any of you done this! Which one aftermarket mount should be better? Any experience on such a part? Any additional recommendation about installing this ?... i do appreciate, your inputs!,
