I typically say Harley Ulta Ltd.
That way if they are not really a biker, the HARLEY part says it all pretty much.
If I am not near the bike, I may say a Harley. If they look bewildered, I will add "a touring bike".
Anyone appearing to be biker wise then the 1st line above pretty much covers it all.

When anyone asks what I ride I say a Dyna. If they ask more I get into the story of the Dynasaur. When I see them start to lose interest I say Harley.
And like Tileman above, I then whip out my pics of my beautiful Dyna. :-)

Wife and I rode into a small back-country town on our Harleys and were to meet someone at a local beer parlour. The doorman/bouncer, wearing a Harley tee, asked what we were riding. "Couple of Dyna's", I replied. "You?" I asked..."A Kawasaki Vulcan" he said...then the wife ask's him "Then why you wearing a Harley shirt?" "Oh; I'm saving up for a Harley"
