Ain't that the truth? You can pour cubic dollars into a Harley & make 'em right exciting, or just start with the right tool for the job.
I love my Super Glide, don't get me wrong. It's comfortable, smooth & fast enough to get me in trouble. It's my all-day back road explorer. If I feel the need to strafe apexes, weighting pegs, trail-braking & getting under the paint, I'll get something designed & purpose built for exactly those kinda shenanigans.
I think it's funny everyone tweaking about discontinuing a 27 year old chassis designed to mimic the look of a 60 year old chassis.
Still don't understand folks thinking it's a performance/handling machine, what with the swingarm rubber mounted to the transmission. I mean, if you dig the looks (& I do) that's cool, but if you were really serious about performance & handling, you'd be tricking out FXRs & Sportsters.
HA HA !! Yeah !! Old thread. Around here though, Calif East Bay. You'd have thought the Raiders, A's & Warriors all moved away
and Chevrolet discontinued the Corvette. All on the same day the Dyna dropped off the scope.

Oh and GOOD LUCK finding a decent FXR around here !!
When one does pop, it's TOP $$$$ !!!
