Default Bumping feeling

This is my first HD so I figured I better ask. When slowing down after pulling in the clutch I feel what I describe as the enging bumping the frame feeling. It goes away when I stop and doesn't do it when riding. Also when riding 2 up, I notice it more.

Is this normal for an unbalanced engine?

Thanks for the input.

Mark

You don't say what your riding or what year it is. Have you checked things like motor mount bolts and brackets? I would start there.

sounds like the reduced clutch effort or Ez-clutch giving a lunge or a noise

If you find out please repost as I have the same sound. Didnt notice it till after the 1000mi. service. Seems more pronounced after bike is warmed up. I thought it was the cheap HD oil I put in the tranfer case. I will be switching to gear oil next service.

I reported the same thing when I had my 1,000 mi service done. They rode it, felt it, said it was normal for 07 Dynas. Anyone hears different, I'd like to know.

Seems I hear it more when braking with rear brake only (when trying to diagnose).

I don't really hear it. I can feel it through the bike. Feels like the motor is bumping somthing.

I questioned this as well, the dealer said it was the Dyna "feel". Then the mechanic borrowed a used Bob for the weekend and the next day said he felt what I was talking about - only shows up when you decelerate, sometimes when there is a rough spot in the road and right after you pull the clutch and is worse two-up. Has no idea what it is, but thought it was the swingarm attaching to the motor getting "out of time" kind a thing. At least he felt it and I don't feel like I'm nit-picking the bike to death. Nothing has fallen off (yet) and I can't find anything loose.

I have the same problem with my SG and notice more when riding 2 up!!!!!!!!!! I CHECKED E V E R Y T H I N G and yes I feel it through the bike. I took mine to the dealer the tech and another emp. rode 2 up and said that they could both feel it but can't explain it "have a nice day" I have 1800 mi on it when I hit 3000 it's going back for a check
