Default Alternative Routing for EBS

Hello.
I recently replaced my AN Big Sucker for a DK Customs 606 AC set up including their stealth breather system.

I have seen a lot of posts about the EBS and what it does, and have always had a external system on my bikes. I was running the AN one as it seemed a good set up until I realized it was EPA compliant and ran the breather gases back into the AC unit.

So this weekend I did both my bikes using the DK set up. I was able to run the hoses under the tank, using the "Y" connector I ran a single hose under the seat. It makes for a real clean setup. Depending on how much the filter drips (if any) I might put a little cup under it with some shop towels just to soak up any extra gook that might come out.

I am quite pleased with the way it looks, very clean install with nothing really showing.

Close up of the stealth breather connector

The hose runs along the frame channel (zip tied to the wiring).

a little diagram to show how I routed it....

You might think about using a catch can with foam to absorb the oil as opposed to the filter in that location. Would keep it cleaner I’d imagine.

I would rethink that spot. Think of the water and gunk that's going to come out of it right there

Yeah, what he said.
It's sometimes not about the amount of "oil" that slips through the filter,, but those gases are "hot" (when running), then they're cool (engine off),, then they're hot,,, then they're cool.
I plopped my filter in a "vented" catch can because I was worried too,, all I see or have found in that catch can is water.
You can figure it out now or later,,

Thanks for the comments guys, and I understand where you are coming from....these were what was supplied in the kit.

If I find there is an issue then I’ll look into a catch can, but really, my bike is a non puker.....so I think it will be fine.

Non puker based on the breathers being routed back into the intake and not dripping from the intake filter? So was mine and that's definitely not the case with external breathers.

This right here, not a location I'd consider

What are you going to do when that hose becomes plugged with pooled water and oil blocking the vent?

Leaving it there is just asking for a big mess that could be easily avoided.

If I wasn't using breather bolts I'd weld a scavenging bung into the header(s) and dump into there.
