Default WG ignition switch problems

Has anyone encountered a problem with their WG ignition switch? My buddies does not connect to power if it is rotated all the way to the right (cw). It has to be backed off a small amount. It is a 2005. The concern is vibration on the road possibly shutting things down. Knowing the key fits this switch and the fork lock probably means another expensive yet cheaply made part that has to be ordered? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

I have heard they can be problematic. I have not had trouble with my '05 though.

When the dealer handed over the bike, the dude told me to tun that on, then kill switch, and other way around for turning off.. that way less electrical "stuff" was going through the tank switch and would last longer or not have issues.

Iwas told the same. First the power then the kill switch. Then the kill switch second the power. No problems with mine.
