I have a LRS. The emulsion rear shocks are a big upgrade over stock fatbob shocks. That said I would not buy them new for what HD is asking. I just sold my LRS emulsion rear shocks for 250 to a friend, had 900 miles on em. You can find em used with low miles if you keep your eyes open.
The front on my LRS is divey. Not as bad as my '12 fatbob was. But same thing wouldnt buy them new from harley but if you could score a deal on used ones it would be an upgrade. I would pry spend a lil more and get race tech, legend, or progressive.
Im thinking about picking this up along with the emulsion shocks as a budget upgrade for my fat bob. Starting to get tired of the mushy stock components.
Looks like it comes on the Low Rider S standard along with the emulsion shocks.
Anyone using this kit or that has a Low Rider S that could provide some feedback?
I got one of those off ebay used, being a cheapskate that I was. The spring for the left side fork w the cartridge seemed like it was a bit too long, though i was able to get the cap closed on the fork tube and went on to use it for years. For all intents & purposes yeah it definitely was a noticeable difference from stock. A few years in i started experimenting with different fork oils. First with using SE Heavy instead of Type E and that made it even better. Then tried another i dont remember the name but that was a step up, too. And there ive stayed. Havent had a negative result yet. Funny thing is I cant find the existence of the part anywhere on Harleys website, the only site that acknowledges its existence is European site for house of flame harley Davidson. I think maybe it was for a switchback Dyna but nonetheless yeah if you can afford progressive id try that. Only way id go that route w the premium ride product again is if that was all I could afford. And im sure some good progressive alternatives are priced right there alongside Harley
