Default Power Commander

Hi all, 2007 Dyna Fxd here. I bought the bike used. It has a Power Commander 5 onboard. I can plug it in and see the map but that might as well be swahili to me. It was tuned on a dyno way back by the original owner.

I was wondering if anyone out there has a map that I can compare mine to. I want to make sure its running its best without putting it on a dyno again. Any help or tips are appreciated and welcome.

Im running:
screaming eagle stage 1 air cleaner
Rinehart 2 into 1 exhaust
screaming eagle 211 cams

cheers team!

What's wrong w/how it's running now, I didn't catch that?

Did you ever hear if it's not broke, don't fix it?

The only thing of note is a yellowing pipe. From what i understand this indicates its running lean. I have also read that it could have been run too hot during tuning. It was like that when I bought it and i cant really tell if it has gotten worse or not. This is my first ever mororcycle so as far as how its running I really have no basis for comparison.

Instead of trying to find someone with the exact same setup as yours, it's probably better to contact Power Commander and see what they suggest. If the map in your tuner was the result from a dyno run then it won't match their stock maps. And just because it was on a dyno doesn't mean that the operator was any good at it.

You're probably splitting hairs. Bet if you took that PC off, it would run just fine. I just took the FuelPak off my Bob and no difference. Ditch the science.

Really the PCV fuel map is not that complicated...it is just a map of throttle %, RPM and fuel values.

You can go right on Dynojet's website and download basic maps.

The yellowing is probably because you're running too lean/hot...if your tune is good it should not be doing this.

I would highly recommend getting a new dyno tune or buy the autotune kit.

If your exhaust does not have o2 sensor bungs, than some modification may be required for the autotune kit.

Since you bought it used I would change the oils out, replace the spark plugs and put a new air filter on it. It could have been a real hot day and turned that pipe yellow or it could be a defect in the craftsmanship of the pipe itself. If its running well and not making any weird noises ride on. Nice bike.
