For tight, limited space riding, smaller and lighter should be your goal. That means the "FL" series is out. The "FX" series barely. Both of those Triumphs you listed are entirely too cantankerous for city work. Same goes for the above mentioned Harleys. A Street Harley is ok for city work.
Do you have Triumph's "Street 765?" available?(To those thinking it's like the Harley Street 750, believe me, it's not.) Especilly the "R" or "RS" editions.
Personally, I'd probably stick with the Bonneville. It's a great "do it most" bike.
If Triumph is what is available to you, maybe an 800 Tiger XC? That bike does it all.
agree, if your heart is set on an HD then I would stick with a sportster
but probably a 1200C for the bigger fuel tank but still narrow for traffic conditions..
