Is the the Standard Dyna forward control kit, Part Number 49080-06A, compatible with the reduced reach forward control kit?
I recently purchased a 2009 FXDL for my wife. She doesn’t care for the mid controls. I would like to add forward controls to the bike along with the reduced reach kit, if the two kits are compatible.

 

Has she thought about further forward mid-controls?

I dont see how somebody would dislike the mid controls, unless they're well over 6' tall. Which if you're considering reduced reach kit for forward controls, I dont think is an issue. I think she'll regret going to forwards as to me you loose a lot of confidence and control with forward controls compared to mids.

But seeing as the forward control kit you're looking at is just giving you the OEM parts for forward controls, yes the reduced reach kit (P# 50700005) will work.

I agree with the above. Have her take a newer Low Rider for a spin with the farther forward controls. The few inches makes a difference.
