Sorry. This has been beaten to death.
I'm wondering why (WHY) they'd drop the line.
So HD wants to appeal to the younger crowd, right.
So they have an affordable model that the younger crowd wants. And they drop it.
Being in the automotive industry I have the chance to talk to many people.
You ask a guy in his 20's what Harley he wants and it's a Dyna or an FXR. They'll spend the
money tweaking it to their personal taste, but it's those 2 . . . Period.
They don't want to drop over $20 on something you can't even (easily) hop up in Calif and then
have to drop bukku (spl chk) bucks on it.
When you see a younger rider around here, give you three guesses what they're riding - but
you'll only need one guess (maybe 2)
I'll post this in here instead of starting a thread elsewhere. Local Dealers are covered up in 2017 and 2018 used bikes. (Both touring and softail) What is up with that? Are they still having engine problems?
Oem spare parts will they be the same as the Buell as in they HD only have to supply spares for dynas for 10 years after the model is discontinued.
I know there's a shitload of after market spares out there for now but I know they will start drying out as I've noticed by owning a XR1200 there's not as much aftermarket spares as there used to be.
Money...that is why they killed the dyna. They don’t sell. We on this forum love them but the rest of the riding world would rather have a bagger or a soft tail.
