OHLINS HD 764 set up question
Just installed a set of these I purchased off this forum on my 2015 FXDL. The length is adjustable by about 1/4 inch. Didn't realize previous owner had these at max length when I installed them. They are now 13 1/2" inches total. The ride seems high and steering has changed a bit, for the better it seems. The ride is fantastic. My question is, if anyone has experience with these, would it make much difference if I shortened them to 13 1/4 ? I would just do it and try it out, but the shocks have to be removed to make this adjustment, which is a bit of work. One thing I didn't figure on was the extra wind in my face, caused by sitting a bit higher over my windshield. Windshield is already all the way up. Lowering the ride the 1/4" may help with the wind a bit. The bottom line is, the bike rides so bitchin the way it is, I don't want to do anything that won't make an improve that. Guess it could be also that I'm too lazy to take the shocks back off again.
