I know! In this case the odds apparently were 100%, but if it hadn't happened, they would be 0%. Odds seem to become very binary after the fact...
I'm really in no rush for my seat, except that I can't wait to see it! It's not like I'm supposed to ride anytime soon... But my new internal metal is feeling pretty good.
Let's just hope the shipping dept or shipper doesn't drop the ball...
I ordered something last Sunday...Monday, got a notification that the order couldn't be processed/fulfilled...but 10 hrs later, get a Tracking# that it shipped for delivery on Friday...Friday, get a revised delivery of Sat...Saturday get a "Delivered" notification... Delivered in ALASKA
Oh well...Good luck
It arrived this morning, two days early!
My tank is off right now while messing with control cables and stuff, so I can't REALLY see what it looks like, but the seat is very nice. Build quality seems high, it's finished very well, and it lined up perfectly on my fender without having to adjust the bracket at all. Ignore my really messy, overly crowded garage... I've been using my healing collarbone as an excuse not to put stuff away right now...
Looks real good. That bag needs stripped and dyed black now...
Totally... Or, I could get a tiny battery like yours, and build a small storage spot in the battery box. I just hate having stuff in my pockets on the bike. That bag works well... Wallet, phone, reading glasses , house keys, etc.
Get some outside pics when you get a chances. What do you think? You good with it?
Yes, I think I really like it. Here's what I was trying to accomplish:
I have a LePera Daytona Two-Up that I had built a couple of years ago, also with charcoal metalflake (and full leather). I also have a second tank for my bike. I really like the original tank graphics, but since I have two I thought I would have one painted (which I haven't done yet). My plan is to have it painted with a base of Vivid Black, but a graphic and lettering using a lot of charcoal/silver metalflake among other things. I want to be able to switch between the single or two-up seat, and either tank, in any combination and have it all work together. I also have removable Leather Pros bags and a detachable backrest (only used with passenger), which is currently being powder coated gloss black with a flake in it. I like the "quick change" idea of having several bikes in one. It's usually a local hotrod, but sometimes I take a passenger and leave for a few days...
