lol.. is that similar to being sorta pregnant? I think you'll find it is true if your honest with yourself.
What the heck are you talking about?

Never said it does. But the length of time you have a bike might dictate how good of a tune you want to have. If you just want to dump in more fuel to correct a lean issue, go with one of the cheaper options. But if you want a more accurate tune that won't add extra fuel and lower your MPG, it might be worth spending a little more to get the added capabilities.
I know it is a good amount of money, but I think that the high flow intake does you no good unless you have a higher flow exhaust as well. This puts you in a situation where you can replace the exhaust with an 06 and up exhaust that will fit the 05 (several threads on the forum that discuss which exhaust will fit) and gives you the bung mounts for the O2 sensors. This would allow you to put in a tuner with the wide band O2 sensors like the ThunderMax. That is the route I'd suggest if you're up for spending the $1500 or so for the ECM and exhaust. It will complete your stage 1 upgrade, give you a tuner that autotunes, and expand your 05 capabilities with oxygen sensors that you don't currently have to give your tuner better feedback for an accurate fuel mixture.
I like the power vision for its monitor screen but my goodness my thundermax tunes faster and more accurately I feel. I have ZERO regrets going tmax. Plus, my local dealer price matched online prices and did over night shipping.
Either it's true, or it's not.... kind like being sorta pregnant... either you are, or your not.
I'm just saying, if you are staying at stage 1, then you don't need much of a tuner.
I know what the expression means about "sorta pregnant" but I don't see how it applies here. If you have stage 1 and you are running lean, you can dump extra fuel in with a cheap tuner and ride, or you can get a better tuner and fine "tune" your bike to use just enough fuel to run well, and still get top MPG.
OK I think this horse is dead. Carry on.
