Default Handlebar replacement

So I have a 2002 FXDWG and I bought 9” mini apes with 4.5” pull back risers because the drag bars that are currently on there tear up my neck from reaching. Bad riding position. Anyways, I get to taking the controls off and the wires are through

These are the wires I need to pull from the connector to pull out of the handlebars
the handlebars. I haven’t found a video or anything on how to pull them back out. The clutch side runs down under the frame somehow and the throttle goes down to the engine.

I should be be able to reuse the cables for the apes because the drag bars have about a 6” rise.

I would love love to be able to knock this out myself but haven’t the clue where to start and would hate to mess up wiring due to novice error. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This is the new bars just resting on the headlights and speakers

This show the throttle control wires coming out of the handlebars.

This is the clutch side controls going into the top of the frame but have no clue where the come out since it’s hard to trace.

Are you expecting to wire the new bars internally?

No. The new bars are dimpled. Just gonna run them along them. The should be long enough to not need new ones.

Ok, you've found the right place,, it's late and I'm tired but folks will be along soon to guide you to de-pinning that connector, pulling those wires and getting those new bars installed in good shape.
Just wait a bit, don't rush the job.
Do Not Cut Wires! There is no need to.
Tug on that clutch side harness a bit more, you'll find another connector will come out of that hole,,

Thinking along these same options myself .. Would like to have my Bars a little higher and pulled back a bit for better Comfort .. Clutch Cable and Brake not a problem, but really don't want to have to extend the Wiring and hopefully Wire it internally in the Handlebars .. Wish you Well on this ..
