Just purchased a set of Harley brembos off of a touring bike. I am under the impression they will bolt directly to my 2015 Low Rider and fit the 11.8" rotor. Can anyone confirm? If not, can you tell me what else will be necessary to make the swap? Thanks in advance.
There are a few threads on here that will give you some info, with some some people having differing opinions.
I completed this swap only a few weeks ago on my 2017 Low Rider S. So scoured the web for as much information as possible.
You are correct it is a straight swap/bolt on (you need 4no shorter length mounting bolts) and they do fit and look great. There is a slight overhang of the pads over the edge of the Rotor by around 3-5 mm (at a guess) I believe due to the way Harley amended the fork lowers on Touring and Vrod models to accommodate a Caliper upgrade, where as Dynas werent amended and the Calipers were changed , or was it the other way round??
I have read a few opinions that this is catastrophic for both the Calipers and the Rotor, but I was unable to find any evidence of this to support the argument either.
That said I still decided to complete the swap and am very happy with the results. I will be keeping a close eye on both the pads and the rotors in the future but as you will see some people have done this and not had a problem at all and others are not so keen.
This link might help too. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...-a-dyna-2.html

Yes, other way around... The Dyna changed the mounting locations (in 2006) on the Sliders ("lowers") ... the Touring and VRod are in the same position as before they starting using HD Brembos, they redesigned those calipers instead to accommodate the increase to 11.8" rotors

the brembo touring caliper needs the 300mm rotor. EBC and Braking sells them in a full floating version. Otherwise you get strangly worn brakepads and a overheated disk becouse of dragging pads.
the brembo touring caliper nerds the 300mm rotor. EBC and Braking sells them in a full floating version. Otherwise you get strangly worn brakepads and a overheated disk becouse of dragging pads.
I'm currently a bit confused...anyone care to clarify ?

If you didn't use a 11.8" (300mm) Rotor with HD Brembos on a 06-later Dyna, your "Problem" would be even bigger (funny "wording" )
It's a simple swap *WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A 2006 FXDLS* . THE Rotors will have a bit of "overhang, but along with brembo Calipers-go for the few extra $$$ and get Brembo Floating Rotors as well . you'll be stylin and smilin dude ( when it comes to STOPPING FAST AND QUICK ) !!!
