I would start replacing sensors because Im no Harley mechanic and dont want to take it to the shop they have a 4 week back log and just want it fixed but since you mentioned it I change injector first if I'm having problems heck with cleaning it I just replace it dont know what else to do
i guess i just hate seeing people waste money throwing parts at a problem. plus, normally, sensors throw a failure code when they actually fail.....but, if you have the money to say **** it, then **** it. replace everything. hell buy a new bike.
Don't want a new bike I came here for help and for what I would pay Harley to fix it I could probably repace every sensor on bike and still save money I just dont know what to do I think its fuel related and my friends think it electrical not trying to blow money but just trying to fix it.
Ok so when did the problem start? Immediately after they did the big bore kit etc? I read through the post but didn't see when the problem started.
If it was electrical, why would it only do it at one minute rpm range? Doesn't seem plausible.
Fuel relation....could be pump. Or could be injectors. I'd start with troubleshooting something that only has 2 sources to check instead of replacing every sensor due to frustration.
How did you rule out injectors? Fuel pump? Etc?
It started after I put big bore kit my friend installed big bore kit and cams along with a hole slew of other things S&S said I needed hes stumped and and cant get any advice from S&S or V&H so im here Im going to pull out injector and look at I have already run injector cleaner through 2 tanks bike runs great idles great doesnt stumble through acceleration just when cruising around 2300 to 2700 rpm crack the throttle a little and starts stumbling higher the grear the worse it gets but if you just gun it it doesnt do it
You ran autotune on the tuner? Did it find any adjustments? Without riding it, can you just rev to that rpm and hear it stumble?
The reason I still think fuel related is the higher the gear the worse it gets. Seems to be load related. Load goes hand under hand with fuel injector problems.
I didn't see if you checked the internal fuel line for holes. Pretty common problem that happens when the fuel line is rubbing against the tank wall.
Have you tested fuel pressure?
otherwise. rev it. hold it at rpm and take carb cleaner and spray it around the exhaust ports and start checking for air leaks if you dont want to pull the injectors. id still start with autotune and see what it sees. you have the ability to see whats going on with your tuner why wouldnt you use it?
