‘08 Street Bob Wobble

Started having a slight wobble in 2 nd and 3 rd gear which then became a bigger wobble. it felt like it was in the front. Took bike to my dealer and the service manager rocked the bike. He told me it felt like loose spokes in the rear wheel. Turned out to be a shattered bearing in the rear wheel! The good news is replacement of the rim and axel is most likely covered by my added warranty which runs thru 2020.

The '08s were notorious for bearing failure. HD tried to go to a cheaper bearing that year (shallower grooves).. .and it did not work.

Glad you figured it out. Sealed bearings are their own worst enemy...in the days before sealed bearings you repacked them every riding season, Harley owners were meticulous about it. Now it’s an after thought. Should be replaced every tire change or I would go every 10k is what I do...
